Sonni Ragnar Nattestad beats Denmark s Martin Braithwaite to a header during an international friendly in October
Faroe Islands international Sonni Ragnar Nattestad has joined Dundalk from B36 Torshavn.
The 6ft 6in centre-half has racked up 31 caps for his country since making his debut in 2013 and his new manager Filippo Giovagnoli will be hoping that Nattestad proves a commanding figure at the heart of the Lilywhites defence when they bid to challenge for the title next season.
Nattestad has also had spells in Denmark and Norway during his career and the 27-year-old played a major role in B36 Torshavn s Europa League qualifying run last season.
