identity for healthier school lunches. we were watching what the students were eating on a regular basis. in our vision of having a healthier school and bring in healthy school foods it was a natural match. reporter: they call the menu, fiesta time, quesadilla, roasted potatoes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cheese sandwiches, fresh fruit, and assorted milk. this menu at the school is the vanguard of one of the options we want to offer kids. reporter: everybody that likes this food, raise your hand? it is very healthy. it makes your body strong. reporter: what about the perception that kids need more protein? actually, most people in this country get two to three time more than they need. plant based proteins are actually very healthy. they have no cholesterol and they re low in total fat and saturated fat and high in fiber.
