Bihar Diwas event in Auckland revisits historical connection between Fiji-Indian community and Indian diaspora Friday, April 30, 2021 Sandeep Singh Bihar Foundation was joined by Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia & New Zealand and the Fiji Indian diaspora in celebrating the first-ever “Bihar Diwas” event on Friday, April 23 at Fickling Convention Centre, Three Kings, Auckland. High Commissioner of India Muktesh Pardeshi was the Chief Guest of the event, along with special guests from the Fiji Indian community, Rajendra Prasad, acclaimed author of the famous book “Tears in Paradise” and Raveen Jaduram, former-CEO, Watercare, Auckland City Council. Inaugurating the event, High Commissioner Muktesh Pardeshi took the audience on a journey into the rich history of the Bihar region and its revered place in the history of ancient India and contribution in India’s independence movement and formation of modern India.
