This happened around 10 00 last night in the location of fifth and chance. Police tell me, that i have say, officers were on patrol in the area. Driving through and they noticed three men who were shooting at each other. So the driver the officers, rather, stopped their vehicles, got out, announced to the men they were police. They were there investigating what was happening and one of those men turned and fired shots in the direction of the officers. Then the entire group that was involved in that gunfire took off running. Police continued to search for them. Im told this early hour they have still not located those three individuals involved in that gunfire and specifically that one gunman who fired shots at them. They were last checked searching nearby fisher park. Im get an update and hopefully be back with more information, specifically a suspect description. Reporting live in fern rock. With the sergeant here tells me theyre still looking for the men involved including the one who fired shots towards police. If you were in the area of fifth and shamrock last night around 10 00. This is what you saw, heavy police presence. Streets blocked off. Officers searching a park and Police Helicopter overhead. This was all in response to a call from officers who earlier had driven by a group of men shooting at each other and when Police Stopped to investigate the gunfire, one of the men, they say, turned toward them and fired shots. Im told by police that all three men took off running. They were last seen near that intersection of fifth. I was in that intersection. There was no sign of any Additional Police activity. Now, police are telling us if the public, if you have any information on these three men involved, including of course the one gunman who fired shots for police, youre asked to call the 35th district.
