Along as soon as we get them. Otherwise weve been watching this crash on the city avenue bridge. This is southbound approaching the schuylkill expressway. Emergency crews are on the scene here, too. And traffics only squeezing by in right lane so coming off of lincoln drive and away from ridge avenue you are moving slowly now headed toward the schuylkill and city avenue and headed towards channel6. On the big picture were watching that. Vine street expressway construction cleared. No major issues on the schuylkill or 95. A burlington bristol bridge opening. Lanes just beyond the exit ramp for lanes dale route 23. The crash involved three trucks. Were hearing one of them was possibly on fire. Were seeing a southbound gaper delay as well but its northbound where no traffic is getting through and chopper6 hd just arrived at the scene. There is the major accident in the northbound lanes of the northeast extension. What a mess. Look at all those trucks involved, one of them appears to be partially tipped over. You see a number of ambulances on the scene as well. This is northbound just beyond the exit ramp for lansdale. No northbound traffic is getting through between lansdale and quakertown. And you can see on the southbound side, those are the headlights off to the left side of your screen, the southbound side also has a delay passing this major accident in towamencin township montgomery county. So coming back out here you want to stay over on 309. No major problems. Of course youll be dealing with the traffic lights but 309 is going to be a
Front display lying right here on the sidewalk and noticed that a lot of the display items in the front here had been knocked over and a car bumper lying here on the sidewalk. At this point we havent been told what is stolen from boyds, we went in and tried to speak with management and they declined to comment. I see a lot security cameras around here. Well dig around and see what we find. Maybe someone can show us a better picture of what was going on down here. But it looks like a smash and grab here at boyds philadelphia clothing store. Bob, thank you. Traffic is a mess along the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike at this hour. Four tractor trailers and at least one car collided on the northbound lanes in tal min son township. It shut down the highway between the landed dale and quakertown interchanges, forcing detours and forces massive delays. No word on when its wreckage will be completely cleared. Was shut down. It was around 5 30 this morning when a massive pileup involving four tractor trailers and one vehicle forced a closure of the northeast extension between landsdale and quakertown. In the end it took nine hours to clean up the wreckage and reopen the highway. Amazingly one minor injury reported. There was no shortage of commuters that got stuck in the backup. As drivers were diverted turnpike officials handed out slips of paper with suggestions how to get around the closure. Matt was one of lucky ones getting off at the landsdale exit any way. I was coxing from levittown, and i thought it would be worse. I was stuck for 15 minutes, but it was traffic. Dan was not as fortunate. He was trying to get home to scranton. Maybe add another hour, hopefully less but well stay optimistic. Just fun and games. Fun and games yes. Back outside live once again, only one injury reported after the massive pipeup and as of 2 45 p. M. , this stretch of the northeast extension is back open.
