The country. It is very needed. Thank you. My name is audrey mcdowell. Im an associate minister at East Friendship baptist church. And a student at wesley Theological Seminary. My question is, in light of the videotapes we have seen, you know, where they are shooting people and basically just leaving them on the ground to die, i would like to know what are the legal requirements for police regarding giving life saving means when they have shot somebody. In the walter scott case, they lied and said that they had provided, you know, cpr and there is no evidence of that on the video. What are they legally required to do . Or are they supposed to just leave them there to die so as not to mess with evidence or whatever . I was going to ask mr. Crump, who stepped out for a minute to handle that question. [ inaudible ]. I think anyone who has listened to the president over the last couple months talk about the important work Police Officers do. That is something that is worthy of our respect and frankly its something that that the president has praised. I think it speaks to how important it is for Law Enforcement officers to build trust with those they serve and respect. Mr. Obama sometimes praises the police those remarks almost always go hand in hand about a message of bias wrongdoing and racism. A combination of bad training in some cases. A combination of some cases of departments that really are not trying to root out biases. In some cases, sub conscious fear of folks who look different. All of this contributes to a national problem. Last year the events in ferguson and new york expressed a deep root eded discussion the need for fair and just Law Enforcement. What happened in ferguson is not a complete aberration. Its not just a one time thing. Its something that happen ss. One of the things that
