She and her husband lived in a yurt on roms road. Tonight its gone and she told me they barely escaped with their lives. I thought im going to die, hes going to die too because we cant get out. So i got my dad and my brhers urn. They escaped alerting neighbors along the way but one man stayed behind and divered the news about the homes. He said his was gone and just all of us on th ridge. Reporter when the fire broke out monday night around 10 30 saa cruz county Sheriffs Department went dr to door, evacuated between 150 and 200 homes. For the folks whoave evacuated were going to keep teams and deputies up here all through the night and unt its over.
