Police chase from Chesapeake ABC Store leads to DUI charges

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A woman was arrested after a police chase on Sunday.
Around 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to the ABC Store on Portsmouth Blvd., for a report of a suspected drunk driver.
Police said once on scene they located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle on Jolliff Road.
The driver continued and turned onto Route 58 into the City of Suffolk.
Suffolk Police then helped Chesapeake Police before the vehicle became disabled near the intersection of Route 58 and Pitchkettle Rd.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - A Bolivia man was sentenced as a habitual offender this week and will spend more than five years in prison.
Craig Lakeith Williams was sentenced to a minimum of 68 months and a maximum of 94 months in the Department of Adult Corrections, Brunswick County District Attorney Jon David announced Wednesday.
Williams pleaded guilty to two counts of Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Crack Cocaine, and one count of Felony Elude arrest in a Motor Vehicle. Williams previously was convicted as a habitual felon for drug offenses in 2006.

The suspect in a pursuit by Tualatin Police crashed into a gas station convenience store nearly hitting two employees.
The incident started when Tualatin Police tried to pull over a car that didn t have it lights on and didn t have license plates.
The pursuit lasted about seven minutes along surface streets in Tualatin and over Interstate 5.
At some point during the pursuit an officer deployed spike strips, in an attempt to immobilize the vehicle and effectively end the pursuit. As the spike strips were laid down in the roadway the driver of the vehicle swerved toward the officer nearly striking him. One tire of the vehicle was flattened with the spike strips but the vehicle continued on the roadway until it entered the Jackson Food Store parking lot, located at 7090 SW Nyberg RD in Tualatin.
