A police officer from the city of Miami was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after being involved in a car crash in Southwest Miami-Dade.
30-year-old Ashley Hunter was arrested and charged with one count each of driving under the influence and damage to property. She was later released on $2,000 bond.

CHICAGO (WLS) A fiery crash involving a street sweeper in Portage Park has left four people injured, police said.
A male driving a black Dodge sedan slammed into an unoccupied parked vehicle about 2:30 a.m. in the 4000-block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago police said.
Four people were taken to area hospitals in critical condition.
Two victims were taken to Lutheran General, and the other two victims were taken to Illinois Masonic.
Three people were in the car, including the driver who was placed in custody and is under arrest at an area hospital.
Police sources said the crash appears to be alcohol-related, and the driver was taken into custody.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A woman was arrested after a police chase on Sunday.
Around 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to the ABC Store on Portsmouth Blvd., for a report of a suspected drunk driver.
Police said once on scene they located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle on Jolliff Road.
The driver continued and turned onto Route 58 into the City of Suffolk.
Suffolk Police then helped Chesapeake Police before the vehicle became disabled near the intersection of Route 58 and Pitchkettle Rd.

CHULA VISTA (CNS) - One person was arrested on suspicion of carrying drugs during a checkpoint, police said Saturday.
The Chula Vista Police Department Traffic Unit conducted the checkpoint between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday in the 1400 block of East H Street, according to Officer Oscar Miranda.
Of the 1,227 vehicles that traveled through the checkpoint, 572 vehicles were screened, Miranda said. Four drivers were given field sobriety tests and no drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Citations for unlicensed or suspended license were issued to eight drivers, the officer said. Two vehicles were impounded.

The new allegations against Officer Michael McGillis come a week after ABC15 reported on mounting complaints of rudeness and excessive force against him.
McGillis s bodycam caught his discussion with a sergeant and other officers after he arrested Mariah Valenzuela in January 2020. Valenzuela is suing the City of Phoenix alleging McGillis violated her civil rights.
