The Fort Dodge City Council on Monday approved the second reading of a measure that will regulate signs on the Crossroads Mall site as it is redeveloped into Corridor Plaza.
The measure will not lead to any remarkable changes in the signs that the public will see there. Instead, it will require those signs to comply with the same rules as all the nearby areas that are zoned for commercial use.
The council approved the reading unanimously. It must be approved once more to become law.
In other business Monday, the council purchased property at 146 N. Eighth St. from Richard and Vikki Clark, of Fort Dodge, for $60,000. The couple will be paid an additional $20,000 for demolishing the house.
