Incriminating texts, allegedly between those accused of the murders of UK-born botanists Rodney and Rachel Saunders, have been detailed in the Durban High Court.
The Saunders couple - who had dual citizenship for South Africa and the United Kingdom - lived in Cape Town and were killed during a work trip to KwaZulu-Natal on 10 February 2018.
Bulelani Mazomba, acting on behalf of Del Vecchio and Patel argued that the use of data from the cellphones of the accused violates their human rights.
THE State believes that more than R700 000 was looted from seven bank accounts belonging to British botanists Rod Saunders, 74, and his wife Rachel, 63, over four days in February 2018.
