NHAI has warned motorists not to fall prey to people who are selling fake
FASTags online, which look very similar to the real ones and are caught only at toll booths
With
FASTag being made mandatory, motorists said some frauds are even encashing on this. Some of the people sell
fake FASTags that the motorists come to know are fake only when they are stopped at the toll gates for not having a ‘valid’ FASTag.
The
National Highways Authority of India has also pointed out this problem by displaying flash messages on its website warning the motorists of this scam. The message reads, “It has been reported that some fraudsters are selling FASTags online making them appear to be as those of NHAI. They are selling fake FASTags which are not valid to cross

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a warning against fake FASTags as few instances of fraud FASTag cases are being seen. As per NHAI, some fraudsters have started selling fake FASTag online. In fact, these fraudsters have started selling fake FASTag just like NHAI/IHMCL. The NHAI has warned that these FASTags look real, but they are fake.

Technical errors are troubling commuters having FASTag accounts at the toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Motorists have alleged that these glitches meant that they were asked to pay cash in spite of having adequate balance in their FASTag accounts.
Others complain that they are forced to pay twice the toll fee in cash in one of the gates since the tag does not seem to be working properly. Gurugram resident Raghuvendra Shukla was halted at the Kherki Daula toll plaza as he was travelling to the national capital.

NEW YORK Kevin Durant will be out through the All-Star break because of a hamstring injury, sidelining the Brooklyn Nets star from a game for which he was chosen to serve as a captain.
The Nets said on Friday (Saturday, Manila time) that after a routine follow-up MRI on Durant s left hamstring, it was determined that he needed additional recovery time.
Durant has missed Brooklyn s last six games. The Nets, who have won eight straight, have three more games before the break.
Durant, in his first season back after recovering from surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon, was the leading vote-getter in the Eastern Conference. That made him a captain of one of the teams in the March 7 All-Star Game, and he s scheduled to select a team opposite LeBron James next Thursday.
