Toolkit Case: Delhi Court Extends Protection From Arrest For Jacob, Muluk Till March 15

New Delhi: A court here on Tuesday extended protection from arrest till March 15, 2021, to Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk, both accused along with young climate change activist Disha Ravi in a case of sharing a “toolkit” on social media related to the farmers’ protest.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana granted the relief after the counsel appearing from both the accused persons said they needed time to go through the reply filed by the Delhi Police before advancing arguments in the matter.

The Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court on Tuesday gave 10-day transit bail to activist Shantanu Muluk in connection with the campaign document case about the farmers’ protest, reported
Live Law. The Principal Bench of the High Court, however, reserved its verdict till Wednesday on the transit bail plea of Mumbai advocate Nikita Jacob, who is a co-accused in the case.
The Delhi Police have issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Jacob and Muluk. On Monday, Jacob and Muluk filed pleas in the Bombay High Court for transit anticipatory bail.
Activist Disha Ravi was picked up from her house for questioning and later arrested, on Sunday (February 14, 2021). A senior police officer said that this was the first arrest in connection with ‘toolkit case’. 'toolkit' is a term activists use for a campaign information document.
Disha Ravi the 22-year-old activist arrested in the Toolkit case and two other wanted activists, held a Zoom meeting before the Republic Day to plan a social media buzz on the tractor rally, the Delhi Police said on Monday.
