The farmers' body has alleged that the Centre has 'reneged on its assurances' and that it would be relaunching 'Mission UP' to inform voters of BJP's anti-farmer policies.
On Tuesday, the SKM had demanded clarification on certain points in the government's proposal, including on the precondition set for the withdrawal of 'fake' cases against farmers.
SKM to take a call on ending the 14-month agitation only after receiving the final copy of the central government’s revised proposal which has accepted their demands.Â
SKM leaders had demanded a formal communication of the Union government's intentions on official letterhead, which the government is understood to have now given.
The SKM, which is spearheading the farmers' movement, said in a statement that a consensus has been achieved on the central government's draft regarding farmers' demands.
