ROME CITY — The Rome City Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the holiday season with a tree lighting, Artisan Market, decorated Holiday House Walk, food and beverages for Lakeside Holidays.
ROME CITY â The West Lakes Association celebrated Independence Day with a July 4 Boat Parade.
âLove, Love, Loveâ by the Silver family took first place for best decorations in the parade. Other winners were âGod Bless the USAâ by the Knefely family in second place, and âCourtesy of the Red, White & Blueâ by the Ninness family in third place.
Other parade entrants, in no order, are âStars and Stripesâ by the Gras family; Gilliganâs Island-S.S. Minnow by the Gick family; âAll American Apple Pieâ by the Lowe family; âOctopus Gardenâ by the Skidmore family; âSalute to the Armed Forcesâ by the Phillisen family; âSwimming to the Olympicsâ by the Graham family; âPaw Patrolâ by the Wilcox family; âGod Bless Americaâ by the White family; and âThe King Familyâ by the Kings.

Fresh and Fancy Floral Designs awarded $10,000 to the Chautauqua Blind Association, a gift from Deluxe Brands and Salesforce on Friday. In a year plagued by COVID-19, one shining beacon came through for an organization in Chautauqua County The Chautauqua Blind Association. A $10,000 donation by Deluxe and Salesforce was made on behalf of Fresh and Fancy Floral Designs in Fredonia.
