If you could just explain to me a little more the major investment analysis by corridor is. What that means sure. Is there a site youd like me to reference . Im just looking off the list of elements of the subway master plan and i dont know what that stands for or that means. Major investment analysis by corridor. Energy efficiency coordinating committee, the Small Business seat. I feel like this position and this seat and serving the committee could be in line with my personal and professional life in addition to the advocacy in my history being in the city for Small Businesses and affected communities. So my family has a corner store and building in San Francisco. I grew up there so ive been around the business since i was young and now im taking more of an ownership managerial role. We have equipment dating back to the 1970s in our store, and this is a pretty common reality for a lot of old Sole Proprietor independent businesses in the city. So ive had to assess upgrades for that establishment on its own in addition to working with other grocers and i sit on the board of the Arab American Grocers Association so i have a lot of relationships with Small Businesses and weve had interface with the department of environment on several different issues that relate to Small Businesses. So it is an a
Since you are a strong and viable candidate, we should probably table this particular seat. Or continue. Thank you very much. Just to continue it until we get the letter so that you can. So all three of you know, i dont come to any hearings that have any mess. So what i want to do to you all in front of you all is respectively decline to accept the position. Thank you. I did want the letter. Mr. Bryant, if you we cannot move without all the letters and we could be very well poised to support your position given the documents, but we cant legally move you forward without those documents and thats just not available for us to actually act on today. So when we say continue it, we would probably make a decision at the next rules committee meeting, which would be two weeks from today. Okay. Again, ive done too many years in the city to not to come before a board and feel as though i understand the requirements, i thought the requirement was going to be here, the letter, but it seems like a
Businesses to the area. So kind of a broad overview with that. Through this experience working through the state of california in various regions and across the nation on some nationwide projects such as with the recovery act grants working on green jobs Training Programs and such, have a broad variety of knowledge to be able to bring to the San Francisco experience and im excited to see how they can develop in San Francisco. Very good. What do you see as the conditions and opportunities in San Francisco for really maximizing our Energy Efficiency work and green jobs . Yeah, so in San Francisco theres, in looking at the Green House Gas analysis of San Francisco, for example, i see commercial buildings as being one commercial electricity use as being one of the big areas. That seems like a big opportunity for being able to improve the Energy Efficiency, reduce the Green House Gas emissions in the area, and that also creates a lot of Job Opportunities with retrofits and with doing Energy
The 3,000 tenants that we serve, we need to make sure those units are efficient and quality Affordable Housing. And so we are embarking on that project but also we are an Affordable Housing developer. So at the moment we are working on our proposal for 1950 mission street, a new 100 percent Affordable Housing development that is near the 16th street bart station. Were also researching sites down near 24th street in the Lower Mission to purchase and develop what are relatively smaller sites but nonetheless are just as important in these days of gentrification and displacement in the mission. And so what i see as Mission Housings role is that we will utilize our portfolio, our vast and very large, relatively speaking, portfolio to create and obtain the necessary funds and capacity which we will put towards new development because its about boat, its about making sure we have enough Affordable Housing and creating new, but also ensuring that that which we have is never ever lost. Can you
