We believe this committee will have great value in creating a more navigable and concerted platform for Energy Efficiency platforms and resources in San Francisco county. Emerald cities is a national organization, we Work Together to advance a sustainable environment by creating greater Economic Opportunities for all. We are transforming the Energy Efficiency sector in a high road way by retrofiting building stock, creating jobs and revitalizing the local economies of our region. So i am applying for seat 3 but i could qualify for 1 or 2 as well. In San Francisco we have successfully demonstrated a project for Energy Efficiency retrofit with a Community Work force agreement that we negotiated with the Building Trades and community at the table that ensured high road labor, community
The 3,000 tenants that we serve, we need to make sure those units are efficient and quality Affordable Housing. And so we are embarking on that project but also we are an Affordable Housing developer. So at the moment we are working on our proposal for 1950 mission street, a new 100 percent Affordable Housing development that is near the 16th street bart station. Were also researching sites down near 24th street in the Lower Mission to purchase and develop what are relatively smaller sites but nonetheless are just as important in these days of gentrification and displacement in the mission. And so what i see as Mission Housings role is that we will utilize our portfolio, our vast and very large, relatively speaking, portfolio to create and obtain the necessary funds and capacity which we will put towards new development because its about boat, its about making sure we have enough Affordable Housing and creating new, but also ensuring that that which we have is never ever lost.
