The Indore police has summoned the driver of Madhya Pradesh cabinet minister Tulsi Silawat’s wife in connection with the investigation into the fake remdesivir scam case.
According to the Indore police, the main accused Puneet Aggarwal, who was caught selling fake remdisivir injections, had revealed during investigation that he acquired some remdesivir injections from Govind, who works as driver for Tulsi Silawat’s wife.
“Govind will be questioned as revelations made by the main accused needs to be verified and cross-checked as both worked for the same company,” police said.

Their manufacturing unit was in Uttarakhand.
The police have recovered as many as 198 vials of fake Remdisivir, packaging material, and 3,000 empty vials. The Centre has told states that Remdesivir may decrease hospitalization time when used in moderate to severe cases, but there is no proven benefit in terms of reduced mortality.
BHOPAL: Ninety per cent of the Covid-19 patients who were administered fake Remdesivir injections supplied by a Gujarat-based gang have survived their lung infections, investigation by Madhya Pradesh police reveals.
While chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wants murder cases to be registered against the racketeers arrested in Indore and Jabalpur, holding them accountable for each death, senior police officials are trying to find ways to link mortalities with the duplicate injections without the dead bodies. None of these victims was buried, they say.

An inter-state gang supplied at least 1,200 spurious Remdesivir injections, which contained glucose water and salt, in Madhya Pradesh in the last one month, police said on Sunday.
These injections were sold as genuine Remdesivir, which is in high demand for treating COVID-19 patients, at exorbitant rates, a probe has revealed.
The Gujarat Police recently busted this racket in Surat and arrested six persons, Indore s Vijay Nagar police station inspector Tahjib Kaji told PTI. Investigation revealed that the gang with the help of one Sunil Mishra had supplied 1,200 fake Remdesivir injections in Madhya Pradesh in the last month, he said.
