Following several reported break-ins and a car theft, police in New Fairfield today are urging residents there to be vigilant and take precautions to avoid being the next victim. According to the New Fairfield Resident Trooper’s Office Facebook page, some vehicles were rummaged through and a white 2016 BMW X5 was stolen from the driveway of a home on Wood Creek Road during the early morning hours last Friday, January 12th. Police also say one New Fairfield resident was involved in a physical altercation with one suspect. While police say every area of town should remain alert, last Friday’s crimes were pretty much centered around Possum Drive, Wood Creek Road, Fleetwood Drive and Candlewood Knolls.
