Fairfield Police Officer Kody Moore spoke to Fairfield Rotarians yesterday about the city's every-growing drug problem. He said they have responded to 12 overdoses this year and rendered life-saving aid with Narcan, but some residents have passed away. He encourages people to contact police if they see suspicious activity of any kind instead of simply talking about it on social media, where authorities may or may not see it. Fairfield Mayor Mike Dreith is anticipated to propose several appointments at Tuesday's City Council meeting, including for Police and Fire chiefs and assistant police and fire chiefs. The Assistant Police Chief position went unfilled last June after the former council voted 5-3 against reappointing the former assistant chief. Several other city positions have not yet seen appointments, including City Collector, Treasurer, and Attorney.
