This has been a disastrous year and we need you on the board of supervisors to take descraftiaction. S. We will restore the 23expirt safety net for most vulnerable api communities in San Francisco. They are Food Security, workforce development, Behavioral Health, dough miss tick violence and youth and services so we have the board of supervisors to restore all this expiring programs and and various departments for a total of 2 million. On behalf of cyc we have two expiring programs under mohcd including our asian and Pacific Islander Youth Leadership program which provides Youth Development for age 16 to 25 and reach out to 200 about the importance of city engagement that they promote young people to register to vote, participate in census and take part in vote 16 campaign. The other program is the bayview Services Connection program. With a reduction of funding of 50,000 which will harm and reduce our Cross Cultural community and this program serves over 5,000 vulnerable and low incom

One of the things that need to change about the Police Department, i will echo the same thoughts about reduce running the Police Budget. We need higher budget cuts. Next speaker please. We need a budget that fires sheriffs deputies and cut overtime. You take that money to invest in the community, police dont keep us safe. That was made apparent again. Renter of district 5 and member of the senior and disability actions housing collaborative. There is so much stuff from displacement and high rents before the pandemic. And now, illness and income loss and inability to pay rent due to the virus. Thousands of seniors, people with disabilities, other low income folks, and families of color are most vulnerable to the homes. I urge expanded support for the Legal Council programs and these are life lines to keep us in our homes. We rely greatly on the temporary rental assistance programs and also the permanent rent sub subsidiaries and we need them to be expanded especially now. Protected civil rights writ large. So this is going to require a longterm bipartisan commitment. But not just from us in washington but folks in the state capitals, city halls, and Police Departments across the country. Because ultimately its the local officials that have the responsibility to hire and fire the police chief, to make sure that bad Police Officers are removed from the force. And thats where the nearterm responsibility needs to lie, because we dont have that capability here. But we do believe, i do believe there are concrete steps we can take right now to address the racial injustices that were exposed once again with the death of mr. Floyd.
