Stories this morning. Deal news dominating this morning. Valeant ends the buyout deal for allergan. They made an unsolicited deal last spring. It looks like the soap opera could end, 210 is more than they expected. Hackman and valeant are going to share the profits that ackman has reportedly made with the stock at 40 . This is a winwin situation because of the way he structured this. But valeant shareholders effectively split the profits with ackman. With the purchase there. Thats pretty interesting. We will see what they can do. I think that 210 is sort of a knockout blow. But because the expectation was that valeant could only go to 200 or 205. Valeants ceo said they were going to be getting great tax benefits out of the deal. So the question is, what does ackman get out of this . Did you just say that the stock is at 213 . I could be wrong. There could be a higher bid potentially. Wow. There it is. Look at you. Always good to be right. Well, i dont know. Maybe theres more to be had

It is a case that hes gone beyond anything thats acceptable. The question is, can you follow the path of what jessica was raising. Is the fatigue and the sense of threat from isis enough to create some kind of convergence there. I dont know. The short answer is i dont know the answer. Im a big believer this also goes back to one of the points that sam used to also raise. If theres one thing that guided sam more than anything else, it was that he said, dont fall in love with your own ideas. And if you think youre right, thats fine. But why dont you test your ideas . What do you lose if you test your ideas . The short answer is, you dont lose a lot. So id be quite open to testing certain things, but i also know that if it looks like we shouldnt assume necessarily that having the sunnis with us is a given if it looks like were drawing too close to the iranians, which has clearly been a sensitivity for the obama administration. If we want sunni tribes, by the way, not just in iraq but in s

But in the stand your ground case that now we are all very well aware of, i think it goes back to what we spoke about earlier. And that is the pressure. Guess what . If people started to make phone calls and putting the pressure on, it would be different. And then that would help encourage you as a legislator help encourage Law Enforcement to speak out. Because now they are not alone. As long as youre going behind and whispering and say hey, im with you. But, you know, what . Every day we are losing eight kids and teenagers a day daily to gun violence to eight kids a day. I think is still pricing to legislation of gun violence. I have been at numerous protests and ive seen, i have seen prolife Supporters Holding up a 16 by 20 or even large posters of fetuses and mothers have been impacted by abortion. And again, im in the business of pictures. Im in the business of narrative. Im in the business of storytelling. And it still stuns me why, if i am protesting that im kind of get an issue
