The defendant, who resides in Ikeja, was arraigned before Magistrate O.A. Layinka, on a charge of stealing. Vincent, however, denied committing the offence and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. Layinka said that the surety should be gainfully employed and show evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

The three persons are Ehidiame Airebun, 48; Felix Airebun, 36; and Sarah Akande, 39; are facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, burglary, obtaining money under false pretenses, and theft. The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. Three siblings arraigned over alleged N5m fraud

The three siblings are Ehidiame Airebun, Felix Airebun, and Sarah Akande, are facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, burglary, obtaining money under false pretences, and theft. The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Prosecutor, ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde, told the court that the defendants committed the offences in August 2020 at Abule-Egba, Lagos. He said that the defendants fraudulently obtained the said sum from Mr Adeyemi Moshood with the pretext of selling to him a one-story building at lintel level, the property of the late Mr Imafidon Airebun.

Two in court over N1 5 million accommodation fraud

TODAY Sahara Reporters Two men; Nicolas Asindu, 43 and Jacob Mashi, were on Wednesday, brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, charged with fraud. The duo is facing charges for obtaining N1.5 million with the pretence of renting out a two-bedroom apartment. Asindu, 43, businessman and Mashi, 26, security guard, both residents of Ikeja, were docked a three-count charge of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretence and stealing. They, however, pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde, told the court that the duo committed the offences on Oct. 14, 2020, at Opebi, Lagos. Ayorinde said that the defendants fraudulently obtained the money from Sandra Nnamadi and Cynthia Nnamadi with the pretence of renting out to them the apartment at No. 16, Aderoju Adewuyi Street, Ikeja.
