(Shutterstock) NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that Exeter/West Greenwich High School has been awarded first place in the WindWinRI High School Wind Turbine Competition. The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce hosted the WindWinRI program with KidWind, an an educational organization focused on teaching people about renewable energy, on May 7. On May 10, a ceremony was held to honor the teams who received first, second, and third place awards. This event is such an exciting look into Rhode Island s future, said Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea in a statement. We have our state s emerging leaders gaining valuable experience in the field of renewable energy – which is going to be a vital part of our economy and infrastructure going forward.
