According to a media report, Apple CFO Luca Maestri and former Chief Design Officer Sir Jonathan Ive are in the race to become the next Ferrari CEO.
Luca Maestri has been Apple s CFO for over 6 years. Ive designed popular Apple products like the iPod, iPad, iPhone and the Apple Watch. He was also involved in the design of the spaceship-like Apple Park HQ.
Media reports suggest that the former Lamborghini CEO Stephano Domenicali is one of the potential candidates. However, FCA CEO Mike Manly is believed to be the favourite for the top job.

Ferrari has confirmed that Louis Camilleri has retired as the brandâs CEO and as a member of the board due to âpersonal reasons.â
While no further details are provided as to why from Ferrari directly, Bloomberg reports that Camilleri was hospitalised due to coronavirus but also reports that this âwasnât the main reason for his exit.â Executive Chairman John Elkann will step in as acting CEO.
Camilleri replaced the late Sergio Marchionne after his passing in 2018 and, during Camilleriâs tenure, Ferrari has revealed the SF90 Stradale and Spider, the Portofino M and the Roma to name a few fresh models, along with some bespoke creations.
Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri has retired from his position with immediate effect, the Italian company have confirmed in a shock announcement. Camilleri cited personal reasons for his decision, with it emerging he had spent time in hospital fighting Covid-19.
Camilleri took on the role in 2018, following the death of former boss Sergio Marchionne, and has presided over a successful period for the road car side of the business while being very supportive of the F1 arm of the company.
It is believed he has been fighting Covid-19 for several weeks, and while his condition was not life-threatening, it is believed to have been serious, which led to him spending time in hospital. Positively, he is recovering well.
