Public defenders across the bay area today put their hands up to call attention to what they say are racial dissparseties in the criminal Justice System. A demonstration held in oakland this morning similar protests like this in San Francisco, san jose, and martinez. Public defenders say they want officerinvolved shootings to be investigated in a public courtroom instead of by a grand jury. They also want all officers to have body cameras.
