New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI): In wake of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Tuesday announced the cancellation of the class 10 board examination.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that exams for for class 9 and 11 have been cancelled for all government schools in the state. "Whatever criteria the board decides for evaluation of class 10 students, we will adopt the same for class 9 and 11 too," said the minister.

Board Exam 2021: In view of rising number of Covid-19 cases, various state boards across India have decided to either postponed or cancelled the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting to review the examinations to be held at various levels in view of the developing coronavirus situation.

CBSE Class 10th Exam Cancelled, 12th Postponed: CBSE Board exams for Class 10th will not be held this year and that students will promoted on the basis of an internal assessment, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank told India TV on Wednesday. The government, he said, has postponed Class 12th examinations till May 30. The board will issue a revised schedule for Class 12th board exams on June 1.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The meeting was attended by Pokhriyal, Education Secretary, and other government officials.
