all right. we re watching the dow at this hour, it is down about 43 points right now. just minutes away from closing. if it closes down, that will be the dow s longest losing streak since 2011. for more, i want to bring in cnbc s dominic chu tracking the markets for us today. dominic, we re hearing it s about uncertainty of a government shutdown. what are you hearing? reporter: eight straight days. a pretty big streak here. we re seeing if he can get a little bit of positive momentum. i should point out earlier on we were down 18 o-some points. we ve gotten a lot of that back. again, like you said, it s going to be about optimism, whether congress, trump, everybody working in washington can get a deal done with regard to everything going forward, perhaps averting a government shutdown. also making progress on tax reform. also making progress on, perhaps, infrastructure spending down the line. there is a sense after the
