COLUMBIA BASIN – More than 200 local athletes earned all-league honors during the fall sports season, ranging from honorable mentions to players of the year. Read along to see what awards athletes from all 12 local schools earned this fall sports season.
COULEE CITY – Despite coming back from down two scores in the first half, the No. 6 seed Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors weren’t able to pull off an upset of No. 3 Mossyrock Saturday, falling 46-30 in the 1B state quarterfinals.
ACH took a 30-22 lead in the third quarter, but three fourth-quarter Mossyrock touchdowns allowed the Vikings to advance to the semifinals.
COULEE CITY Off to a 3-0 start this season, the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors are looking forward to getting back on the field after a nine-day hiatus from game action.
While many teams around the Basin have played upward of 10 games already this season, the Warriors have only played three since a March 25 doubleheader against Selkirk, this weekend’s opponent, was postponed.
