ACH Warriors fall to No 3 Mossyrock in 1B quarterfinals

COULEE CITY – Despite coming back from down two scores in the first half, the No. 6 seed Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors weren’t able to pull off an upset of No. 3 Mossyrock Saturday, falling 46-30 in the 1B state quarterfinals. ACH took a 30-22 lead in the third quarter, but three fourth-quarter Mossyrock touchdowns allowed the Vikings to advance to the semifinals.

Pitts scores four touchdowns in ACH s win over Concrete

MOSES LAKE Facing off against No. 11 seed Concrete, the No. 6 Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors overcame an early double-digit deficit to advance into the second round of the 1B State Football Playoffs, defeating the Lions 42-26 at Lions Field in Moses Lake. “It feels great,” ACH coach Brandon Walsh said. “Obviously last year we lost out in the first round; for a lot of these kids, getting that monkey off their back was a big deal. Hopefully, we got some of the mistakes out of our system, because we didn’t play the cleanest football we ever have today.”

Playing with confidence

COULEE CITY – A win in Friday’s crossover game against Waterville-Mansfield gave the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors their seventh-straight state appearance, setting up a matchup against No. 11 Concrete this weekend. “It feels great,” ACH coach Brandon Walsh said. “It’s a fun, young group of kids, it seems like we’re gelling and playing our best at the right time.”

Warriors fall in 1B state tournament

MOSES LAKE A five-run top of the second inning was enough for Naselle to defeat Almira/Coulee-Hartline in the second round of the 1B State Baseball Tournament on Saturday, leaving Larson Playfield with a 5-3 win over the Warriors. ACH added three runs of its own in the bottom of the third, but couldn’t add on any additional runs over the final four innings.

ACH Warriors excited to get back on the field

COULEE CITY Off to a 3-0 start this season, the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors are looking forward to getting back on the field after a nine-day hiatus from game action. While many teams around the Basin have played upward of 10 games already this season, the Warriors have only played three since a March 25 doubleheader against Selkirk, this weekend’s opponent, was postponed.
