Thousands of protesters took to the streets in cities across the country last night and early this morning, upset over the election of donald trump as president. Last night a crowd filled the streets in portland. This is video from the nbc affiliate there. It started as a peaceful protest. And then things turned unruly and heated with people smashing store windows. Police called it a riot. And then they moved into try to stop the vandalism. At one point police say protesters tried to take over p an interstate highway forcing officials to shut down a portion of that road. This person in portland was caught on camera taking his anger out with a baseball bat. You see him there hitting an leg cal box. And you can see the sparks flying as crowds cheer. And in oakland, california a third night of protests
