TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State beach volleyball’s pairing of Torrey Van Winden and Keara Rutz were named Volleyball Magazine First Team All-American and Alaina Chacon and Maddie Anderson were named Second Team All-Americans. Torrey Van Winden and Keara Rutz combined to go 31-7 together in 2021 and were named AVCA Second Team All-Americans earlier this month. The 31 wins in one season are the sixth most wins for a pair in a season in FSU history, it also moved them into 10th all-time for most wins in a career as a pair at Florida State. The duo went 27-3 on court two and 4-4 on court one. They were named the AVCA National Pair of the Week and the CCSA Pair of the Week on March 9 after going 5-0 that weekend with ranked wins over No. 1 LSU, No. 11 FAU and No. 19 Georgia State, all on court two.
