Music has been a part of Samm Taylor’s life for almost as long as he can remember.
The 20-year-old, who is a 2019 graduate of Hilliard Darby High School, recalls singing along to a car radio when he was 5 years old. One of his favorites was Lou Bega’s Mambo No. 5.
At 11, he began playing the viola at Hilliard s Tharp Sixth Grade School.
“I remember the Tharp staff came to my elementary school and showed us the band and orchestra instruments, Taylor said. I picked the viola because one of the teachers said, ‘Nobody picks this instrument, and it’s usually forgotten.

Trenton James Adams Arrested In Houston
It’s been two weeks since Ellis County authorities discovered the body of 29 year old Jordan Van Hoffman in Ennis, TX. But two weeks feels like a lifetime for the friends and family of Hoffman, while the suspect, Trenton James Adams aka Trenton Hector remained at large.
This morning authorities announced the suspect, Trenton Adams, was arrested at an apartment in Houston. Adams was taken to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and will later be transported to the Ellis County Jail in Waxahachie. Officials say Adams will face a murder charge in Hoffman’s death.
