UK lobster exporter Barron Shellfish is closing down its 60-year-old family business blaming Brexit red tape and hidden costs, The Guardian reports.
The company bought lobsters from businesses in Bridlington, exporting up to five tons a week of lobster to countries including Spain, Belgium and Italy.

An important assembly of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) will take place on Feb. 2 in Brussels, sources told Undercurrent News.
In the meeting, the European Commission is expected to firmly confront Norway and demand a prompt response from the Nordic country on access to its waters and other issues, said Ivan Lopez, spokesperson for the European Fisheries Alliance, EUFA, a coalition of EU fishing fleets that fights for continued access to British waters after Brexit [.]
