The bodies of two people have been found inside a vehicle off the Angeles Crest Highway that has been connected to the case of two missing teenagers.
The car was located about 2 p.m. Tuesday near mile marker 71.5 of the Angeles Crest Highway, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Trina Schrader.
Schrader said that a coroner would have to identify the bodies and that she could not provide information on the victims’ ages or cause of death.
Sophia Rayanne Edwards, 19, and Ethan Manzano, 19, were last seen about 1:30 p.m. July 1 near mile marker 51 of the Angeles Crest Highway in the Angeles National Forest, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (AP) Two bodies found Tuesday in the wreckage of an SUV that plunged hundreds of feet off a cliff in the Angeles National Forest may be those a missing teenage couple that vanished last week, authorities said Tuesday.
The bodies weren t immediately identified but the car matched one that was carrying Sophia Rayanne Edwards and Ethan Manzano, both 19, who were last seen on July 1 on the Angeles Crest Highway in the forest northeast of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The wrecked car was spotted about 2 p.m. hundreds of feet down the cliff from the highway several miles west of Wrightwood, authorities said.
Searchers who found the vehicle were scouring the area where 19-year-olds Sophia Edwards and Ethan Manzano were last seen. The Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department Wednesday confirmed that the car belonging to the teen couple reported missing in the Angeles National Forest.
The department was awaiting confirmation from the coroner on the identity
of two bodies found inside the wreckage.
Families who were also out searching the area feared the worst. I can t believe I’m going to be burying my son. He was only 19, said Al Manzano, Ethan s father.
The couple, from Apple Valley, have been missing since Thursday. Investigators spent the day searching the mountains near Dawson Saddle Trail.
