(male announcer) this is the bay area news station, kron 4 news starts now. actively searching the water for four people. including two children under the age of eight, believed to have abandoned their sailboat off pillar point drifting towards santa cruz. at around 4:30 this afternoon, the coast guard received a message saying that the boaters were having trouble with their communication system. at 5:30 the coast guard reports they lost all contact and sign of them. the sailboat has yet to be found. as of right now the coast guard is looking for 4 people.in the water. authorities say the boat had no life jackets or life rafts on board. we re joined now by the coast guard lietenant heather lampert. roright now, we have several searches underway. how long do think that to continue the search?
