Everyone has dropped their phone at some point in their life. Usually we don’t have to drop an iPhone very far for it to be rendered into a shattered mess. But one guy has answered an age-old question: can your iPhone survive after being dropped from a plane? The answer is yes. And it wasn’t even one of those ‘shatterproof’ iPhone 12s either.

Ernesto Galiotto, a Brazilian filmmaker was filming something on his iPhone over a beach in Rio De Janerio when the smartphone fell out of his hands.

No one likes to drop their smartphone, but imagine dropping a smartphone from a plane. This happened to a Brazilian documentary filmmaker named Ernesto Galiotto, who was filming something on his iPhone 6s from a plane when the strong winds snatched it away, resulting in a close to 2000-feet drop. However, much to everyone s surprise, the iPhone 6s survived the fall. More so, the camera never stopped recording and the whole fall is on video, which is nothing but just one big blur.

For anyone that has smashed an iPhone by dropping it from a desk or table, this story is proof that luck plays a factor as well. A film-maker named Ernesto Galiotto dropped his iPhone 6S out of an airplane while nearly 1,000 above Pero Beach, Brazil on Friday. Hoping against hope, he fired up the Find My iPhone app and realized that it could be recovered. Galiotto found the phone with only the screen protector damaged. The phone was in working condition and actually filmed its own skydive with the guy saying “”It is something that, if you tell someone, they wouldn’t believe you.”

You feel your heart skipping a beat whenever you drop your phone on the floor. And if your luck is too bad, you might need a display replacement or a new phone
Now imagine dropping your phone from an airplane. Will it survive? Absolutely not.
However, we are surprised to learn that a man s iPhone not only survived being dropped out of an airplane window, it also captured the footage of the entire drop.
