SHARJAH, 23rd June, 2022 (WAM) The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced the opening of registration for the 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) Awards.
Submissions for the Sharjah Translation Award 'Turjuman', Best Emirati Book, Best Arabic Novel, Best International Book and the Publisher Recognition Award will be open until September 1, 2022.
The AED1.4 million Sharjah Translation Award 'Turjuman' promotes Arabic literary works globally by encouraging international translators and publishers to translate intellectual, cultural and creative publications that are based.
ABU DHABI, 16th June, 2022 (WAM) Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, met with UAE artists who are participating in the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, one of the leading artistic and cultural events in the world, which is held annually in Washington, D.C., where UAE is the country in focus at this year’s edition.

ABU DHABI, 15th June, 2022 (WAM) Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, is launching five seasonal routes this week that connect Abu Dhabi to popular summer hotspots across Europe and the Indian Ocean.
Three seasonal services took off this morning, connecting Abu Dhabi to Nice on the famous French Côte d’Azur, the historic city of Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete, and Malaga in Spain.
All three services are set to be operated on a twice-per-week basis.

DUBAI, 14th June, 2022 (WAM) The Mohammed bin Rashid Library, the newly inaugurated cultural beacon located in Dubai, will be the first-of-its-kind in the and the Middle East region, to employ artificial intelligence (AI) in its operations, including in choosing titles and borrowing and returning books.
The automated storage and electronic book retrieval system on the library’s first floor is one of its largest sections. It contains over one million titles and utilises a first-of-its-kind smart system in the Middle East region that uses.
ABU DHABI, 25th May, 2022 (WAM) The Korean Cultural Centre of the United Arab Emirates organised a photography exhibition entitled ‘Arirang Narsha’ in collaboration with Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi. The free-entry exhibition will showcase the beauty of Korean traditional dance created by a unique interpretation of Korean artist Yang Jaemoon.
