SAGINAW, MI - Thursday was a historic day in Saginaw County as some Covenant HealthCare employees stepped up to receive the first doses available of the new Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
Holding a picture of her colleague and dear friend who succumbed to the virus, Respiratory Coordinator Sabrina Albert was the first Covenant employee to get the vaccine after it arrived on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Albert said she opted to get the vaccine in honor of fellow Covenant employee Carrie Lynn Hennig, 56, of Sanford, who died from COVID-19 complications June 4 after fighting the virus for weeks on a ventilator.
