HANOVER When Dartmouth College announced last week that it was reinstating five varsity sports it had dropped during July budget cuts, it explained the reversal by saying data used to make the decision “may not have been complete.”

Experts are hopeful that lawsuits against trans athletes who want to compete as the correct gender could “evaporate” under president Joe Biden.
Last year, Idaho was supported by Donald Trump in becoming the first state in the US to pass a law banning schools and colleges from letting trans athletes from taking part in girls’ sports as their correct gender identity.
However, it was blocked from being implemented while a legal challenge against the “hateful, unconstitutional” anti-trans law, brought by American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Idaho, takes place.

President-Elect Joe Biden’s promise to embrace transgender ideology will likely include supporting biological men who say their gender identity is female to compete in sports against biological women.
Attorneys representing transgender athletes and women athletes expect Biden’s Department of Education to reverse course in two lawsuits in Idaho and Connecticut that the Trump administration had backed to protect women’s rights.
