Redstone stepping up for Army Emergency Relief

The focused fundraising effort began March 1 and runs until May 31. According to Capt. Hunter Wilson, who co-coordinates the effort with 1st Sgt. Erika Vargas, the response so far has been pretty good. “We’ve had quite a bit of interest across Redstone,” Wilson said. “All of the unit reps that I’ve talked to have made it a priority to reach out to all of their Soldiers in their formation about AER.” Instead of placing a monetary goal on this year’s campaign, the AER co-coordinators decided to set the goal of ensuring 100% of all the Soldiers across the installation were aware of what AER provides and the fundraising campaign.
