Funds raised during the Sandpoint Lions' annual Toys for Tots campaign go to purchase new toys for area children or gift cards for older youth who live in the Lake Pend Oreille School District. Every Christmas, the Lions help almost 1,000 area children, from Sandpoint to Clark Fork and all points in between.
The 11th annual Sandpoint Film Festival will feature 31 entries from across the globe, featuring everything from light-hearted fare to human rights and environmental issues.
The more I came to know the recently departed sage of Sandpoint, Erik Daarstad, the more I thought about moving to Norway. My God, if one could live among people like him? How old do we have to be to stop caring about education in our schools?
