Jerry (74) was born May 20, 1947 in Superior, Wisconsin to Herbert and Lorraine (Hughson) Hoover. He passed away on February 18, 2022 in his Duluth home after living over a decade with the many challenges of Parkinson’s disease.

Sherman William Erickson Sherman William Erickson born October 15, 1950 died from a heart attack on December 28, 2020 at the age of 70. Sherman was one of six children born to Kenneth E. and Esther M. (Forbort) Erickson. Kenneth died in a tragic railroad accident when Sherman was four and Esther died in 1985. Sherman and his family started out living on Oneota St. between 38th and 39th Av W near the interstate. Their house was the first taken for the I-35 expansion, where they then moved to 2nd Av E and 5th St. Growing up Sherman was a good athlete and played baseball in the Little League World Series in Williams Port PA finishing in second place. The team photo is on display outside of the Duluth Heritage Sports Center. He went on to graduate from Central High School, playing quarterback for the football team. Sherman attended the University of Wisconsin Superior. He later played, coached and managed the former Duluth Dukes baseball team, now known at the Duluth Huskies.
