The Lucille Lortel Theatre today announces the first guests of its 22-23 lineup for its “Live at The Lortel” podcast series. To kick off its new season, the show will interview Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright, composer, and lyricist Michael R. Jackson ( A Strange Loop), Tony Award nominated actor Robin de Jesús ( In the Heights, The Boys in the Band), and award-winning writer and 2020-2025 MacArthur Fellow Larissa FastHorse ( The Thanksgiving Play).

16 h Share with: Bruce Springsteen ended Broadway s long Covid-19 shutdown on Saturday night by kicking off a 30-date run of his solo show at New York s St. James Theatre. The rocker s sold-out residency, Springsteen on Broadway, which launched in October, 2017 at the Walter Kerr Theatre and initially ran until December, 2018. The Born to Run hitmaker has now returned post-shutdown with an opening night benefit for a collection of New York and New Jersey causes, including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, the Food Bank for New York City, NJ Pandemic Relief Fund, and The Actors Fund. It s great to be here, Springsteen said as he took the stage. No masks, sitting next to each other in one room.
