Church of Uganda bishops have gathered at Lweza Training and Conference Centre in Kampala to discuss the allegation of adultery against former Archbishop Stanley Ntagali.
“The meeting is tomorrow [today] and we have a number of issues to discuss. The matter of the retired archbishop is part of the issues we are going to discuss,” Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba confirmed yesterday.

Retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali who has been banned from carrying out priestly duties following his alleged involvement in an extra-marital affair with a married woman.

It is alleged that the Archbishop emeritus sired a child with a married woman last year.
“…I have informed retired Archbishop Ntagali that he is not permitted to function sacramentally, preach or represent the Church of Uganda in any way until further notice,” said Dr Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, in a January 13 letter to Anglican Bishops under the Global Anglican Future Conference, while announcing the suspension of his predecessor.

Church of Uganda Archbishop Dr Stephen Kaziimba has asked election losers who contest the results to seek remedies in court.
“Let us keep peace and any disagreement with the results, go to court and present your case or report to God to decide your issue,” Archbishop Kaziimba said yesterday while preaching at a service at his Namirembe residence in Kampala City.
