Mass Extinction: Art, Ritual, Story, and the Sacred | Institute of Sacred Music

In January and February 2023, the Institute of Sacred Music is hosting a series of four webinars that explore topics relating to Mass Extinction: Art, Ritual, Story, and the Sacred. The talks are all offered via Zoom from 12-1 p.m.  EST. Anyone is welcome to join, though registration is required. Please register for each webinar event separately. 

UNM group receives award for Venice Biennale project

From Outdoor Classroom to World Stage: Prof Takes Home Venice Biennale Award

A project co-curated by Davidson College’s Prof. Jennifer Garcia Peacock and presented in conjunction with the Venice Biennale arts festival won a top award from the European Cultural Centre. Garcia Peacock, the James B. Duke Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, says her outdoor classroom at Davidson inspired her work. Read more.

GO Bond would fund new Collaborative Arts building

When voters in the state get to the polls in the upcoming election they’ll find an item on the ballot for funding for a new Center for Collaborative Arts and Technology at The University of New Mexico. The UNM College of Fine Arts is asking for $45.
