A day after the Environment Ministry said Delhi registered the highest number of 'good to moderate' air quality days this year since 2016, barring 2020, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Saturday said improving air quality in the city has been the most difficult task.

In a regulatory filing made on Saturday (16 October 2021), JBM Auto said that it had received orders for supply of 700 JBM CITYLIFE fully air conditioned BS-VI CNG low-floor buses from Delhi Transport Corporation (Government of NCT of Delhi) vide its Letter of Award dated 15 January 2021. These orders will be executed in the coming months, it added.

The Commission of Air Quality Management in Delhi-NCR reviewed the deteriorating air quality situation and has directed strict enforcement of dust control measures to curb air pollution in the region. According to a press statement from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, commission s direction came after it reviewed dust control measures for National Capital Region including NCT of Delhi. The body also issued statutory directions to Central Pollution Control Board and Pollution Control Boards and Delhi Pollution Control Committee to constitute teams for inspection and strict enforcement of dust control measures. It also issued directions to levy environment compensation charge from violators and stoppage/prohibition of construction/demolition activities based on the extent of violations.
