After being swept away by floodwater, following the torrential rain which has hit parts of the north of england and the midlands. Her body was found in the River Derwent in derbyshire. This report from our correspondent danny savage. As floodwaters rose rapidly across the east midlands, derbyshire and yorkshire, a woman died after being swept away in rowsley, near matlock. She went missing in the early hours near here, and her body was recovered from the River Derwent in darley dale this morning. In doncaster, the main river through the town burst its banks and overflowed into nearby streets. Anything and everything was used as a Huge Community effort to save belongings swung into action.
