This year’s installment of the Tyson Invitational features a field of 20 teams, 10 of which are currently ranked among the top 25, along with an assortment of professional athletes, including a crew of Arkansas alums, competing in Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday and Saturday.
Competing in his first heptathlon as a Razorback, Ayden Owens broke the Arkansas school record with a career best and world-leading score of 6,272 points that ranks him No. 2 on the all-time collegiate list.
The Razorbacks host a 12-team field in the Arkansas Invitational on Friday, Jan. 14, inside the Randal Tyson Track Center. The first field event begins at noon while running events start at 2:30 p.m. A live stream is available on SEC Network + starting at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Arkansas men’s track and field announced a January addition to the Razorback program with Patrick Kiprop recently signing a national letter of intent to join the Razorbacks.
azorback Etamar Bhastekar won the pole vault with a clearance of 17 feet, 0.75 inches and Kieran Taylor posted a runner-up time of 1 minute, 16.86 seconds in the 600m to highlight performances by Arkansas during the Wooo Pig Classic held in the Randal Tyson Track Center.
