TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State softball pitchers Kathryn Sandercock and Makenna Reid each earned All-America honors from D1 Softball on Tuesday morning. Sandercock earned First Team All-America honors while Reid was named to the All-American Freshman Team.
This is Sandercock's third All-America honor of her career as she was named a Second-Team All-American by both the NFCA and D1Softball last season. Sandercock has been stellar for the Seminoles this season as she holds a 26-3 record to go along with a 1.10 ERA. Sandercock has won her last 19 decisions and has recorded the win or the save in 25 out of her last 27 appearances. The ACC Pitcher of the Year went a perfect 14-0 in ACC play to help the Noles to an ACC Regular Season and Tournament Championship. Tallahassee, Fla. – Former Florida State diver Molly Carlson captured the World Aquatics High Diving title on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
While representing Canada, Carlson tallied 374.00 points over her four dives, three of which were new to her list, to best Rhiannan Iffland (Australia) by just over 10 points (363.85).
After sitting in second place for the first two rounds, Carlson jumped to the top of the leaderboard on her third dive. She sealed the win after doing a half-twisting forward quad, which boasts a 4.4 degree of difficulty to earn a tally of 121.00.
Prior to her World Cup victory, Carlson won the first Canadian Senior High Diving title on May 15 with a score of 382.30.
A permanent Red Bull athlete, Carlson will begin competing in the 2023 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, on June 3 in Boston, Massachusetts at The Institute of Contemporary Art. The finals will air live on Red Bull TV.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State softball team will get the primetime spotlight in their opening game of the Women's College World Series as they will take on No. 6 Oklahoma State Thursday night at 7 p.m. eastern on ESPN at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla. If the Seminoles win, they will advance to the winner's bracket where they will play the winner of Washington and Utah at 7 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN. The loser's bracket game will be at 9:30 p.m. eastern on Friday on ESPN. The Seminoles are making their 12th appearance in the Women's College World Series. The past two times the Seminoles have been in Oklahoma City, they have reached the Championship Series as they won the title in 2018 and were the national runner-up in 2021. Jacksonville, Fla. – The Florida State women’s track and field team closed out the 2023 NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday at Hodges Stadium. Caisa-Marie Lindfors, Alexandra Webster, Dajaz DeFrand, and Alyson Churchill will join Stella Weinberg at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas from June 7-10 following their performances on Saturday. “It was another really good night for the Noles,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “The ladies had bests by Daja, Alyson, and Alexis, and the 4x100 automatically qualified. Caisa got her ticket punched as well.” Just off her ACC title, Lindfors started off the day by finishing 12th in the discus, with a mark of 52.70, which she threw on her second attempt. The 4x100 relay claimed the final NCAA qualifying spot, finishing 12th at 44.34 behind Ava Klein, Kaniya Johnson, Tyra Wilson, and Faith Banks.
